Your library can now be as big as your research, and Multilo asks you fewer things before you get going.
No more 200-paper limit
- Libraries of thousands of papers are indexed and searched. We tested with 10,000.
- Each PDF is indexed up to 100 pages and 500,000 characters, the same defaults Zotero uses, and PDFs up to 500 MB are read. Change the limits in Settings → Library → PDF indexing limits.
- Indexing runs in the background at low priority, so the window stays responsive while a big library is read.
Cloud files stay in the cloud
Files that live only in OneDrive or iCloud (not downloaded to your computer) are never downloaded by background work like indexing or search. Search tells you how many cloud-only files it skipped. Once you download a file, it is indexed like any other.
Fewer questions at the start
- No usage-data question and no "Agree & Continue" screen at first launch. The sign-in screen links to the Terms and Privacy Policy, and you can change your choices any time in Settings → Privacy.
- Opening a folder asks nothing. Multilo asks whether to trust a folder only the first time something needs to run code there, like an agent command or the terminal.
Git Bash on Windows
If Git for Windows is installed, the agent now runs commands in a real Bash shell, just as it does on a Mac. If Git isn't installed and something needs it, Multilo shows a Download Git button.
Smaller updates on a Mac
Mac updates now download only the parts of the app that changed, so most updates are much smaller.
