Working with an AI assistant means sometimes wishing you hadn't asked. Multilo now lets you take things back: the conversation, the files, or both.
Change a message after you've sent it
Every message you send has four actions:
- Copy this message
- Edit and resend, which reopens it in the chat box. Sending replaces everything after it.
- Run this message again
- Delete this message and everything after it
Rewind to before this message
When a message led the assistant to change files, it also gets Rewind to before this message, with three choices:
- Files and conversation puts the files back and removes this message and everything after it.
- Conversation only removes the messages and leaves the files as they are.
- Files only puts the files back and keeps the conversation.
Rewinding the conversation puts your message back in the chat box, ready to edit or send again. Every file restore keeps the text it replaced, so you can get that back too.
Restore an earlier version of any file
Right-click a file in the Explorer and choose Restore version… to see its recent versions, compare one with the current file, and restore it. Multilo keeps the last 40 versions of each text file for 14 days, whether the change came from you or from the AI.
Get deleted files back
Deleted something by mistake? Press Undo on the notice that appears, or right-click your project and choose Restore from trash…. Deleted items are kept for 7 days, up to 50 of them.
Good to know
A rewind doesn't reverse terminal commands or changes made in outside services. Those have already happened.
Why it matters
Letting an assistant edit your thesis is only comfortable if you can undo it. Now every AI change has a way back, and so do your own.
