A built-in browser that you and Multilo share

Open web pages in a tab right beside your work, and let Multilo read, click and fill in pages in that same browser, with your permission for each site.

Download Multilo

Multilo now has a web browser built in. Open a journal's author guidelines, a dataset portal or a submission system in a tab next to your draft, without switching apps.

A tab like any other

Click the globe in the status bar at the bottom of the window to open a page. It has Back, Forward, Reload and an address bar, and Open in your browser hands the page to your usual browser whenever you'd rather finish there.

The assistant can use it too

With Web switched on in the chat, Multilo can work in the same browser you see. It can open a page, read it, click, type into fields and take screenshots, so find the author guidelines for this journal and check our word limit is something it can actually go and do.

You stay in control:

  • The first time the assistant wants to act on a site in a chat, it asks you: Allow for this chat, Always allow that site, or deny.
  • Pages served from your own computer (localhost) don't ask.
  • The assistant is instructed never to enter passwords or payment details, never to solve a CAPTCHA, and never to buy anything, create an account or submit something irreversible without your say-so.

Good to know

  • The address bar takes web addresses, not search terms.
  • If Web is off in the chat, the assistant can't use the browser. You still can.

Why it matters

A lot of research happens on websites that don't offer an API: journal guidelines, conference portals, data repositories, your university library's pages. Now the assistant can look at the same page you're looking at, instead of guessing from a search snippet.
