From application to going live
Four steps, and a person at the other end of each one.
Apply
Fill in the form on this page — your background, the topic you want to teach, and your CV. It takes about ten minutes.
We read it
A person reads every application. We reply by email either way, so you are never left wondering.
Plan the session
If it's a fit, we agree a date, a format, and what your session will actually cover.
Go live
You teach. We run the registration, the reminders, and the recording around you.
You bring the topic. We run everything else.
No platform to set up, no sign-up sheet to chase, no recording to edit and send round afterwards.
Your own session page
Your session gets a full page on Multilo Live with your name, role, photo, and bio next to the topic you're teaching.
Sign-ups handled
Attendees register with an email address — no account, no setup, and nothing for you to configure.
Reminders and the recording
We email the joining link and a reminder before you go live, then send the recording to everyone who registered.
We put it in front of people
Your session is listed on the Multilo Live page, on its series page, and in the next-session banner across the site.
You might be a good fit if…
- You know your topic first-hand — as a researcher, academic, librarian, or someone who does this work daily.
- You can teach something practical. The best sessions leave people able to do something they couldn't do that morning.
- You can give a session your full attention for about an hour, plus some preparation.
- You do not need to be famous, and you do not need to have taught online before.
Topics we cover
Multilo Live is a new program.Sessions so far have been run by the Multilo team, and we’re now opening it to researchers and educators outside it. Applying early means helping decide how this works.
Before you apply
Do I need to have taught online before?
No. Plenty of good teaching happens for the first time. If you know the topic and can explain it clearly, that is what matters — we'll walk you through the format before your session.
How long is a session?
Most run between 40 and 90 minutes, including time for questions at the end. We agree the length with you when we plan the session.
Who attends?
Researchers, Master's and PhD students, and anyone doing serious academic writing. Some sessions are marked for all levels, others for a specific stage.
Do I need a Multilo account?
No. You apply with the form on this page, and we take it from there by email.
Can the session be about my own research?
Yes, as long as the audience leaves with something they can use. A session about your method, your process, or the tools you rely on works well. A straight conference talk works less well.
What happens after I apply?
We read your application and reply by email, whether or not it's a fit this time. If it is, we'll write back to arrange a date.
